  • Sc 24 stitches around the second dome.
  • Total: 48 stitches

  • R9: sc around (40)
  • R10: (3 sc, dec) × 8 (32)

  • R16: dec × 8 (8)
  • R17: (dec, sc 2) × 2 (6)
  • Fasten off, sew closed, and weave in ends neatly.

Tip: Take your time shaping the heart as you stuff — a little patience here makes all the difference.

FEET (make 2)

  • R1: 6 sc in a MR (6)
  • R2: inc × 6 (12)
  • R3: sc around (12)
  • R4: dec × 3, 6 sc (9)
  • Lightly stuff the foot (just enough to give it shape).
  • R5: dec × 2, sc 1 (3) (tighten the opening)
  • R6–R7: sc around (3) — 2 rounds
  • Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

SEWING THE FEET

  • Place the feet on the bottom of the heart, centered under the smile area (or slightly wider for a “sitting” look).
  • Sew each foot on using a whip stitch or ladder stitch, catching several stitches from the heart body for a secure hold.
  • For extra stability, sew a few stitches through the inner sides of the feet into the heart so they don’t wobble.
  • Weave in ends neatly inside the heart.

finishing touches

Gently shape the heart with your hands to smooth the curves and define the center dip. This plush makes a sweet handmade gift, a cozy desk companion, or a charming addition to a nursery or shelf.

Try experimenting with different yarn textures or colors for a whole collection of hearts.
